The European Commission will host a dedicated event to provide input on the upcoming European Water Resilience Strategy.
Stakeholders and civil society are invited to “Towards a Water Resilience Strategy for the European Union”, a high-level event taking place on 6 March (09:00–18:00) at the European Commission’s premises in Brussels.
As announced by President Ursula von der Leyen, the European Water Resilience Strategy (2024-2029) aims to ensure sustainable water management, tackle scarcity, and boost Europe’s water industry through innovation and circular economy principles. With a strong international dimension, the Strategy will also contribute to mitigating global water stress.
This event is a key step in the consultation process, offering participants the opportunity to share insights and shape the future of water resilience in the EU. Commissioner Jessika Roswall will deliver the opening remarks, and dedicated sessions will encourage active stakeholder engagement.
The event is part of the European Ocean Days and the Mission Ocean and Waters Forum & Related Events (3-7 March).
